Excelsia College, previously known as Wesley Institute, is a tertiary education provider in Sydney, Australia. It was established in 1983 by David Johnston as a part of the Sydney Christian Life Centre. It is located at Macquarie Park NSW offering undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in counseling, performing arts, teacher education and business focusing on the Christ-centered environment.
Excelsia College offers a wide selection of study options from bachelors, master’s, associate degrees, doctoral courses, online programs, diploma and certificate programs. It has over 15 programs in five study areas including Business, Counseling, Creative and Performing Arts, Education and Social Work. It also offers professional programs that are micro-credentials in Business, Education, Counseling, and Ethical leadership that enhance students’ knowledge and practical skills. It has outstanding campus facilities to improve the quality of study environment and the quality of education. The campus facilities include:
Auditorium that provides a professional rehearsal and performance space for drama and music courses housing a capacity of 150 audiences, with the ability to be converted into a formal event venue.
The Student Center provides a place of retreat for students between classes with facilities including vending machines, kitchen (with microwave ovens), free coffee machines, massage chairs, games tables and outdoor seating.
The Gordon Moyes Library that provides full academic services, both on campus and remotely. It has around 17,000 physical items and 180,000 full text electronic books as well as many electronic databases to assist students in finding reliable articles for their research.
It also has a computer lab, Prayer room/ Chapel, music specialist rooms, drama specialist rooms and counseling/ social work specialist rooms. College doesn’t provide on-campus nor off-campus accommodation.
