Additionally, this university is one of just three in the US to hold the designations of a space-grant, sea-grant, and sun-grant institution. In 1865, the institution began providing a college-level curriculum. As Corvallis College, this university first opened its doors in 1868. Later, the institution was granted authorization to provide programs such as bachelor's degrees in science, arts, and master's degrees in arts. Two campuses, 11 colleges, 12 experiment sites, extension activities in all 36 counties, and academic programs make up the institution. The 400-acre main campus is situated there. More than 1,300 classes are offered online and in a hybrid format through Oregon State University Ecampus, which offers more than 70 degrees and programs. College of Agricultural Sciences, College of Business, College of Education, College of Engineering, College of Forestry, Graduate School, University of Honors College, College of Liberal Arts, College of Pharmacy, College of Public Health and Human Sciences, College of Science, and College of Veterinary Medicine are among the schools and colleges that make up this university.
