The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is a public research university in Greensboro, North Carolina. It was established in 1891. It is part of the University of North Carolina system. UNCG, like all members of the UNC system, is a stand-alone university and awards its own degrees. UNCG is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award baccalaureate, masters, specialist and doctoral degrees.

The university offers more than 100 undergraduate, 61 master's and 26 doctoral programs. With over 19,000 students and over 3,000 personnel, UNCG is the largest state university within the Piedmont Triad. The campus has grown to encompass 30 residence halls and 27 academic buildings on 250-plus acres. In Fall 2021, UNCG enrolled 19,038 students, which includes 15,178 undergraduates and 3,860 graduate students.


University of North Carolina Greensboro offers undergraduate, master's and  doctoral programs in various study areas including Business, Arts, Biology, Chemistry, History,etc. More than 700 international students representing more than 90 countries study and succeed at UNCG.


UNC Greensboro is located in the central part of the state, about midway between Washington and Atlanta. Undergraduates at UNCG can choose from more than 100 academic programs, and graduate students can choose from more than 60 degree programs, including those in the Bryan School of Business and Economics and the renowned student counseling and personnel services program in the School of Education. UNCG also offers highly ranked master's programs in the fields of health and library and information studies.
